Welcome

YOU (the person reading these words) are loved, valued and appreciated!

The Boothby Institute is dedicated to:

1. Having a world that works for everyone.

2. Allowing all 8 billion of us to know that we are loved without condition.

3. Allowing all people to experience that there is always a choice.

4. Supporting individuals in knowing that their value and worth in the world is a given.

Watch Bill Cumming live at TEDxDirigo:

How to Love Even When You Want to Kill

A Space to Grow (1968)

Listen to Henry Fonda in 1968 discuss a Chicago Upward Bound program, four years after Albert Boothby and i helped found one  of the pilots for that program in Sedalia, North Carolina at Palmer Memorial Institute. Those of you who have been through “What Every Person Can Do” will find the language familiar. Oprah Winfrey, Viola Davis and Ron McNair are among its graduates.

What We Know To Be True

1. People who need assistance in life need to know they are loved and powerful enough to take charge of their own lives in order for the assistance to be of any use, breaking endless cycles of dependency.

2. Programs without a ground of being of loving-kindness and the power of choice within are expensive to maintain and unlikely to allow people to take charge of their own lives.

3. Damage comes from damage. The only people who break the cycle of damage are those who know they are loved absolutely, unconditionally and are powerful enough to choose – no matter what their environment.

NAMASTE

I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides.

I honor the place in you of love, of light, of truth and of peace.

And when you are in that place in you and I am in that place in me,

There is only one of us.
